“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass…
It is about learning to dance in the rain.”

Welcome to Mid-Canterbury Psychology
Registered clinical psychologist serving the Mid-Canterbury region

I am Natalie Blackmore, an experienced and registered Clinical Psychologist serving the Mid-Canterbury region. After many years in the public service, specifically the Department of Corrections and Rural Canterbury Primary Health Organisation (RCPHO), I am now enjoying full time private practice. I provide psychological assessment and treatment services for children, teenagers and adults, at the same time sharing my knowledge and proficiency in giving supervision to practitioners within my area of expertise including within the Clinical and Child and Family scope of practice.

As a private practitioner, I spend my days either seeing clients face to face or writing reports. I am also registered under the ISSC contract for sensitive claims through ACC and do both assessments and treatment through this contract.
I believe that life isn’t always what we perceive and want it to be and I can help you manage reality and expectations to obtaining a happier life. With nearly a decade of practice as a clinical psychologist I’ve been exposed to different people experiencing or dealing with difficulties in facing life’s challenges. Providing therapeutic support and therapy, I help them overcome difficulties and get things back on track.
